The Pilatus PC-24, introduced in 2018, is the world's first and only Super Versatile Jet. Built with Swiss precision in Stans, Switzerland, this aircraft defies categorization by combining the cabin volume of a midsize jet with the operational flexibility previously only available in turboprops.
The PC-24 is the only business jet certified to operate from paved and unpaved surfaces as short as 893 m (2,930 ft). This includes grass, gravel, dirt, and snow runways, opening access to thousands of airports that traditional jets cannot reach.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service operates PC-24s across the Australian Outback, while the North Slope Borough in Alaska uses them above the Arctic Circle. From the grass runway at Venice's Aeroporto Nicelli to backcountry strips in Idaho, the PC-24 goes where other business jets simply cannot.
The PC-24 features the world's first standard pallet-sized cargo door on a business jet. Measuring 1.30 m × 1.25 m (4 ft 3 in × 4 ft 1 in), this door enables transport of oversized items that cannot fit on any other business jet.
The 2.50 m³ (90 ft³) baggage compartment is fully pressurized and accessible during flight. With best-in-class payload capacity of 1,406 kg (3,100 lbs), the PC-24 can carry passengers, luggage, and equipment that other light jets must leave behind.
The PC-24 offers seven distinct cabin configurations, designed from the outset for quick reconfiguration:
Each seat features quick-change capability, and the movable aft partition allows cabin/baggage volume adjustment for every flight.
The Advanced Cockpit Environment (ACE) sets the standard for high-tech simplicity. Four 12-inch LCD displays provide comprehensive flight information, while the touchscreen controllers offer intuitive operation.
The PC-24 is certified for single-pilot operation, with the cockpit layout specifically designed to reduce workload and enhance safety.
The Williams International FJ44-4A engines feature Quiet Power Mode (QPM), allowing the aircraft to power all systems including heating and air conditioning using the right engine in sub-idle mode while on the ground. This eliminates the need for a heavy and expensive auxiliary power unit, reducing weight and operating costs.
The EXACT exhaust nozzle provides vectored thrust with no moving parts using the Coanda Effect, reducing takeoff distances.
Two Williams International FJ44-4A engines produce 15.2 kN (3,420 lbf) thrust each, enabling:
NBAA IFR range with reserves:
From Geneva: London 1 hour 20 minutes, Paris 55 minutes, Nice 50 minutes, Milan 35 minutes, Munich 50 minutes, Vienna 1 hour 15 minutes.
From Zurich: London 1 hour 25 minutes, Frankfurt 45 minutes, Amsterdam 1 hour 10 minutes, Rome 1 hour 10 minutes.
From New York (Teterboro): Boston 40 minutes, Washington DC 50 minutes, Chicago 2 hours, Miami 2 hours 45 minutes.
Since 1939, Pilatus has built aircraft that excel in demanding conditions. The PC-6 Porter pioneered STOL operations, the PC-12 defined the single-engine turboprop category, and now the PC-24 creates an entirely new Super Versatile Jet class.
The PC-24 is designed and built at Pilatus headquarters in Stans, Switzerland, where over 300 engineers and craftsmen apply the Swiss philosophy that every stitch can be straighter, every stripe smoother, and every gap tighter.
Pilatus offers CrystalCare, the most comprehensive service and support program in business aviation. The program includes:
Warranty coverage includes 7 years or 5,000 hours for the airframe, with a design service life of 30,000 hours and 30,000 landings.
